Through the Learn to Skate USA program, we challenge kids in ways that help them grow stronger—both on and off the ice. At Verona Ice, we proudly use the nationally recognized Learn to Skate USA program.

Yes, they’ll learn how to fall. But more importantly, they’ll learn how to get back up, try again, and believe in themselves. With each session, their confidence builds, and their potential expands.

Give your child the ability to learn new skills, that strategically build on each other. Once they gain the confidence to succeed on the ice, anything is possible—in the rink and beyond.

See registration instructions below, must have a membership number with Learn to Skate USA.  You will either have a new membership or a renewed one. Membership is good for a year and needs to be renewed once per year.  

Winter #2 Session- Jan 18, 25, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22-Registration closed. 

Classes are Sunday evenings at the below class times. 

5:00 to 5:30 pm - Basic 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Adult 1,2,3,4,

5:45 to 6:15 pm -Snowplow Sam 1, 2, 3, 4, Pre-Freestyle, Freestyle 1-6, Hockey 1 &2,  Hockey 3, 4, Tots

TOTS class is full for Spring session.

Hockey 1 & 2 (Sign up for Basic 1 & 2). We do not have a Hockey 1 & 2 class for the Spring session

5:30 to 5:45- Practice-Open Ice for any enrolled student. Use this time to practice your newly learned skills!

Skaters will not always advance to the next level each session. It is common to take a level more than once.

No Refunds, but we can transfer registration due to injury to a future session (within 6 months). No make up classes, as they are only offered once a week.

NEW SKATERS-(TOTS & SNOWPLOW SAM) BIKE HELMETS REQUIRED-SKATERS SHOULD START IN SKATES WITH A TOE PICK. THIS WILL HELP PREVENT FALLING AND PROVIDE A BETTER LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR SKATERS. WE HAVE THEM AT THE RINK FOR YOUR USE

Registration is a two step process.

• Register with USFS (only once per year, calendar year runs July-June). If you already have a USFS number go to step 2.  Make sure that registration is not closed for Verona Ice LTS before you do this. 
• Register with Verona Ice Arena-See "Register Here"  link above to register for current session. 

Step 1

If you already are a member of a USFS, Login with your already issued USFS number. If you are not a USFS Member, click "Become a Member"  on the next page click the "Skater/Parent of a Skater" button and follow the on screen prompts.  At USFS, you will register for Verona Ice Learn To Skate. 
USFS will issue you a lifetime USFS number. Parents, Register Your Skaters NAME not your own.
USFS Registration fee: $20.00
Pay online with Credit Card.
USFS will mail you your “Welcome Packet” with your identification card, secondary insurance, class record books and other pertinent information and materials.

Step 2

Register for your class and/or classes with Verona Ice at "Register Here" Link above.
You will need your USFS # to register for class.

We are excited to offer private ice skating lessons. The lessons are not through the program, but take place with the same professional coaches.  These personalized sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for your child to develop their skills on the ice, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive environment.

• Scheduling -Lessons on public skate right before LTS class on Sundays. 
• Expert coaches with years of experience teaching young skaters

Whether your child is a beginner or looking to refine advanced techniques, our instructors will provide the guidance they need to succeed and enjoy their time on the ice.

Used Skates: Southern Wisconsin Figure Skating Club skates ranging from $50-$150. These skates are  in good shape and a great investment without the cost of new! Email Sue to see what sizes are available. She can meet you at McFarland Ice Arena to try them on or let you know when the next organized resale will be.
